The 2026 Iran War began on February 28, 2026, following earlier clashes like the Twelve-Day War in June 2025.
The Start of the Conflict
- The Date: United States and Israeli forces launched joint air strikes on February 28, 2026.
- The Target: The strikes hit military bases, air defenses, and government sites in Iran.
- The Leader: Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, died in the first wave of attacks.
