Is a DDD the same as an F?
AA(Double A) is the smallest cup size, then it goes up to A, B, C, and then D. After D you can either go up to DD(Double D) or its equivalent E, DDD(Triple D) is the next cup size which turns to be the equivalent of F. Once you hit F/DDD you continue to go up letters like what was done before.
Is D cup considered big?

What is an F cup?
Each increase in letter represents an increase of 1 inch in the difference between the band size and the measurement of your breasts. For example, a 38C means a chest measurement of 38 inches and a breast measurement of 41 inches. The difference between the two measurements is 3 inches which is a C cup.
How a Bra Should Fit?
You’d think this would be self-explanatory, but we’ve worn ill-fitting bras for so long many of us need a refresher.
- The band is responsible for 80% to 90% of the support of the bra. It should fit comfortably around your torso, parallel to the floor. The band should be snug but you should be able to slide two fingers between the band and your skin. The band should never ride up toward your shoulders.
- Straps are responsible for only 10% to 20% of the bra support, their primary function is to even or level the bra. They should stay in place without digging into your shoulders.
- Whether you’re wearing a full cup or a demi cup, your breasts should fit inside the cup with no spillage over the top, under the cup or around your underarms. If you’re spilling out of the cup, you need a larger cup size. If there are wrinkles in the fabric of the cup, you need a smaller cup size.
- The gore, the portion of the band between the cups, should fit flat against your chest wall between your breasts. If the gore is not flat against your sternum, your cups are too small.
- Underwires should completely surround your breasts and lay against your chest wall. The underwires should never dig into your breasts, your chest or underarms.
- In a properly fitted bra your nipples should be halfway between your shoulders and elbows, facing forward. Adjust your straps so your breasts are in this position.
- The bra should fit on the loosest hook, this allows you to tighten the bra as the elastic relaxes over time.
- Your bra should stay in place when you lift your arms or bend over.
Is a 34 B Small?
34B breasts are noticeably larger than B cups of smaller band size or A-cup of band size 28 and smaller. 34B breasts can look perky and are often understated to looking small. If a woman has flat stomach then 34B breasts are much noticeable from the side, as the breasts would project visibly.
Is B cup considered small?
Although small, a B–cup breast size is considered pretty average in most places around the world. You must remember that 34B breast size will have a similar breast size to 32C — the band is slightly larger, but the cup size itself will be virtually the same.

A 34A is actually the same cup size as a 32B and 30C because they are “Sister Sizes,” and the only difference is that they have different band sizes.
Is a 36b cup small?
For example, a 36B bra has bigger cups than a 34B bra. If you go down to a smaller band size, your cup size has to go up if you want the same amount of space in the cup. So a 36B bra has the same size cup as a 34C bra. With this in mind, don’t get too hung up on your cup size.

With this on mind, 36D is considered large not just because of the D cup but also the size of band. The cup size increases with the increase in the band size; hence 36D’s cup is larger than 32D’s cup. Likewise 36D is smaller than 40D. A 36D bra cup is almost equal to the cup of 38C or 40B.

Is D cup big?
For most retailers, the major sizing divide is at a D cup. For a long time, no one even made bras that went above a D cup! This means that many women who aren’t perceived to have large breasts wear a bra size that falls in the D+ cup range.
Question: When a girl says she’s a small C cup does that mean she actually is a full B? What’s the difference between a small C and a full B cup?
Best Answer: It varies, really. If a woman wants to know her bra size, she measures twice: Once around her rib-cage, and once around the fullest part of her breast. She then subtracts the rib-cage measurement from the breast measurement.
For example: Thirty eight inches around the rib-cage, forty one inches around the breasts – that gives her a three inch difference.
The actual number of a bra size has absolutely nothing to do with your cup size. The number is how many inches around your ribcage you measure. The cup size is the difference that you figured out – one inch difference is an A cup, a two inch difference is a B cup, and a three inch difference is a C cup, it keeps going, obviously). SO really, that would give the example girl a 38C measurement, which is pretty average.
What really makes the difference in a “small C” or a “full B” is the shape of the breast. If the breasts are slightly narrow, the fullest part will still measure out to a C, but the overall diameter might be smaller than the actual C sized cup. Since most sizes go by inches (A cup being one inch, B cup being two, remember, etc.), there can actually be a lot of difference between a full B and a small C. Half an inch can mean a lot when it comes to being comfortable, but some bra lines do offer half sizes for this reason.
Basically, if a girl’s bra doesn’t fit, go to a department store like JCPenney’s. They’ll measure for you. Hope this helped.
