Paige Spiranac traded in her sporty golf apparel for a slinky bikini getup Saturday night.

The reason: Maxim’s Hot 100 “experience” at Hyde Beach in Miami Beach, one month after the magazine dubbed her the “sexiest woman alive.”

The 29-year-old former pro seemed to be relishing in her recently minted sex symbol status, posing next to her cover on the red carpet at the chichi hotel.

The Colorado native tweeted that she was “still in shock” she’d been chosen to front the so called lad bible. (Spiranac beat out such other Hollywood beauties as Megan Fox, Nicki Minaj and Ana de Armas.)

So what does it mean to carry the Maxim mantle? To the Arizona resident, being so called sexy, even on the links, just comes naturally.

“People say you’re promoting women to show off their assets or to wear less to get more engagement online,” she says in the cover story. “My message is wear what you want to wear.”

Since winning at the 100th Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship (finishing with nine under par) in 2015, Spiranac has amassed a hugely impressive Instagram following.

How impressive? With 3.5 million followers, that’s about 500,000 more than Tiger Woods.

Paige Spiranac appeared in the 2018 SI Swimsuit Issue after posing for photographer James Macari in Aruba. While the feature resulted in some incredible images, the golf influencer and media personality also showed off her athletic prowess while on location.

Spiranac skillfully hit a golf ball through a tiny opening in a colorful “Aruba” sign, then upped the ante by masterfully sinking a 28-yard bunker shot from the sandy beach into a moving boat. Cheers erupted from behind the camera as Spiranac raised her hands in celebration and pumped her fists in the air.

The 30-year-old looked great while displaying her skills: she coordinated her golf glove with her black strappy bikini. Spiranac also playfully chipped a ball into a plastic beer cup and caught a golf ball in her cleavage while on set.

Spiranac, who was 24 at the time of her SI Swimsuit feature, has been open about her experience with cyberbullying and has called her magazine feature one of the most important photo shoots of her life.

As she was transitioning from playing professional golf to being a social media content creator full-time, Spiranac said the photo shoot was incredibly emotional and ended up being a truly empowering experience.

“It was the most confident and powerful and empowered that I have ever felt, and I carry that now,” Spiranac stated. “Whatever I do, that’s a big part of me and a badge that I’ll hold forever, being a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model.”
