Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot, Call Me by Your Name’s Armie Hammer and Tenet’s Kenneth Branagh bring the glamour – and impressive moustaches, too – as 20th Century Studios releases two new stills from Death on the Nile.

In the snaps, Gadot – as socialite Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle – and Hammer, who plays Linnet’s husband Simon, can be glimpsed walking down a lavish set of stairs arm-in-arm.

Dressed up to the nines and wearing grins from ear-to-ear, they’re clearly in for a good night… or are they?

Based on Agatha Christie’s acclaimed novel of the same name, and positioning itself as a follow-up to 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express, the whodunit sees Branagh reprise his role as Belgian detective Hercule Poirot as he investigates the mysterious demise of a young woman at the centre of a passionate love triangle.

Joining Gadot, Hammer and actor-director Branagh on screen, Game of Thrones’ Rose Leslie plays Linnet’s maid Louise Bourget while Sex Education‘s Emma Mackey brings Simon’s ex-fiancée Jacqueline de Bellefort to life.

Victoria & Abdul’s Ali Fazal, comedians Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Russell Brand, Black Panther’s Letitia Wright, Criminal‘s Sophie Okonedo and Annette Bening round out the star-studded cast.

Like Branagh, Tom Bateman will be back playing the same character he did in Murder on the Orient Express, Bouc, Hercule’s friend.

Death on the Nile is due for release on October 9 in the UK, and on October 23 in the US.
