Ah yes, the American classic muscle car, the Chevrolet Camaro… It went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was available as a two-door coupé or convertible. Oh so hot. It was Chevy’s competing model to the Ford Mustang and it shared some major components to the Pontiac Firebird that was also introduced for 1967. The Camaro had the same conventional rear-drive, front-engine configuration as the Mustang and Chevy II Nova. Pictured here in this General Moders ad is Chevy’s 1968 model, the Camaro Coupe SS with Rally Sport equipment, a Chevelle Coupe SS, and a Corvette Sting Ray Convertible.
