This is an original 8×10 black-and-white photo showing (l-r) Anita Bryant, Shelley Winters and June Wilkinson in New York in the 1960s, from the files of a well-known weekly magazine. The photo (with white borders) is in excellent condition with an undated caption sheet attached. It says the three women were among the 14 recipients of the “Most Exciting Wrists of the Year” award, sponsored by the Croton Watch Co. What a combination! Bryant was a beauty pageant winner who became an outspoken critic of homosexuality and was a staunch conservative; Winters was liberal supporter of women’s rights and a close friend and onetime fiancée of actor Farley Granger, who later came out of the closet as gay (or bisexual); and Wilkinson was a well-endowed Playboy model who became an actress. This is probably the only time these three had anything in common–their wrists.
