Joe Temperley Quintet: Music on Jazz at Lincoln Center:

One of the best saxophonists in the world, Joe Temperley is the elder statesmen and a founding member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. He has seen it all during a career with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Joe Henderson, and many more. Every time he plays at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola he has a different set of musicians, always top-notch and aware of the gig’s significance. Tonight’s group further ups the ante, featuring a rhythm section of Adam Birnbaum, Yasushi Nakamura, and Billy Drummond, plus the almighty Wycliffe Gordon on trombone. Don’t miss your chance to catch a living legend perform in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s most intimate setting.
